At 03.30 a flock of 3 was found on the tip of the coastal meadow and followed up until they took off after long lasting swimming at 04.55, these were sawn also from Härkäsäikkä, Hailuoto. 15 May 2019, Säärenperä-Karinkanta, Siikajoki, Northern Ostrobothnia, Finland 96 LWfG observed (Fennoscandian). 86 LWfG on migration, 10 stable at Siikajoki and Hailuoto. At Säärenperä, Siikajoki, a flock of 28 LWfG started migration by swimming on the sea at 02.50, another flock of 23 geese took off at 03.22 and the flocks combined in distance as a flock of 51 geese. At the same time, a flock of 13 LWfG was observed flying N from Härkäsäikkä, Hailuoto. At 04.02 a flock of 5 and a flock of 17 took off from Säärenperä and continued together, this flock (22 LWfG) was observed also From the Härkäsäikkä, Hailuoto. 05 May 2019, Säärenperä-Karinkanta, Siikajoki, Northern Ostrobothnia, Finland 81 LWfG observed (Fennoscandian). Additional arrivals after morning count: At 15.25 61-62 birds with voices were found in flight extremely high altitude and shortly, after 4km flight still very high (but twice lower) on the next observation point. The flock partly shared while loosing height and continued NE and turned E when getting down 50 m above sea level and out of sight. At 16.04 the flock (now only 50-51) returned and landed on the coastal meadow. At 17.10, started the normal daily rhytm for dinner at the fields, and after all, 73 LWfG were counted feeding on the fields, including Mr. Blue with the family. At 15.56 4 ad came from South in migration-flight dropping directly to the tip of coastal meadows at 16.01, at 17.25 3 ad (one with missing feathers on left primaries) came following the shoreline from Eastwards and landed 17.28 on the coastal meadow.
